The American Civil War (1861 to 1865) did more to define our country than any other event in our nation's long history. Only Virginia and Tennessee had more Civil War engagements than Missouri. The Battle of Lexington early in the war, the Battle of Lone Jack near the middle of the war and the Battle of Westport late in the war all occurred in western Missouri.

The Civil War Round Table of Western Missouri provides a non- partisan forum to educate, discuss and analyze the many issues surrounding this tumultuous time, with a focus on Western Missouri and the Border War. Each month the Round Table meets to hear speakers present topics related to the war and local attractions.

- Annual Dues: Individual ($30), Family ($40), Individual Student ($5) (Includes Bi-monthly Border Star Newsletter- preferably by email).
- Subscription to Border Star Newsletter only ($10) (preferably by email).
- Make checks payable to Civil War Round Table of Western Missouri.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6pm. We convene at the Midwest Genealogy Center located at 3440 S Lee's Summit Rd. Independence, MO 64055.
